Cookie Policy

Last revised: 14 March 2026

This page explains how learnsmith.help uses cookies and similar browser storage. We keep the list deliberately short — this site sets far fewer cookies than most.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text records a website asks your browser to keep. They let a site remember things between pages and visits — a login, a language choice, or in our case, whether you have already answered our consent banner. Similar mechanisms such as localStorage work the same way and are covered by this policy.

What this site stores

Strictly necessary

  • PHPSESSID — a session cookie that protects our contact form against forged submissions. It expires when you close your browser and contains no personal information.
  • ls_ck_choice — a localStorage entry that remembers your answer to the cookie banner so we do not ask on every visit. It stores only the word "all" or "essential".

These are required for the site to function and are set regardless of your consent choice, as permitted by law.

Analytics (only with your consent)

If you choose "Accept" on the banner, we may enable privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics that tell us which pages are read most and how visitors move through the site. These statistics contain no directly identifying information and are used solely to improve content. If you choose "Reject", no analytics run at all.

Changing your mind

Use the "Cookie settings" button that sits in the lower-left corner of every page to reopen the banner and change your answer. You can also clear this site's data in your browser settings, which resets everything.

Third parties

Web fonts on this site are served by Google Fonts, which may log the technical request (IP address, user agent) needed to deliver the font files. No advertising or social media tracking cookies are used anywhere on learnsmith.help.
